What is a Holter monitor?

The Holter monitor is a portable device that continuously records the electrical activity of your heart for 24 hours — or longer, depending on your prescription.

Unlike a one-off ECG performed in the clinic, it observes your rhythm in your real-life conditions: at work, while walking, during sleep. This is precisely where intermittent disorders that escape standard tests reveal themselves.

Indications

When is a Holter recommended?

This examination is indicated whenever you experience intermittent symptoms or when close monitoring of your cardiac activity is needed.

How it works

An exam in four steps, hassle-free.

From the first appointment to receiving your results, every step is designed to be simple, fast and comfortable. You leave with the device after a few minutes' fitting.

Patch placement

An adhesive patch is placed on your chest. The fitting is quick, painless and discreet under clothing.

24h recording

You leave with a small device worn at the waist. You carry on with your activities as usual, including sleep.

Returning the device

You come back 24 hours later to return the device. The data is transferred to the cardiologist for analysis.

Analysis & results

Detailed reading by your cardiologist, a clear explanation and therapeutic guidance if needed.
